About Us
John and Boni Landis are excited to begin leadership of J & J Tools in 2023. They have been married for 36 years and are the parents of 4 adult children (and their spouses) and 3 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family, gardening, camping, motorcycle riding, and weekends in the mountains. They are active in their church and community and enjoy traveling to India to visit family living there.
John has 18 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker and has spent the past 21 years in sales as a Snap-On Tool Franchisee. Boni is a retired Registered Nurse and has been the office manager and bookkeeper for the Snap-On business for the past 21 years. They both look forward to using their knowledge to serve you!

Our History
The first J & J U-Joint Puller was made in 1982. It was tested in local repair shops and after many improvements the tool was patented in both the United States and Canada.
The original tool was designed for the 1710 and 1810 U-Joint only. Improvements include casehardening for extra strength, slotted holes in the push and pull plates and interchangeable ends. The adjustable tool kit can now be set up with 8mm, 5/16″, 3/8″ or 7/16″ alignment stud ends to accommodate various sizes of U-Joint.
In 1991, adapters were added to the J & J Tool Co. line. With the adapters the tool can be used on vehicles under 26,000 pounds, such as pickup trucks and 4X4s. The adapters enable the tool to disassemble both the snap-ring and the Saginaw style U-Joint without heat or hammering. Thus the adapters render the J & J U-Joint Puller to be more versatile. With more than twenty years in operation the company has customers in all 50 states and a number of foreign countries.
In 1997, when Spicer DriveshaftTM Division of Dana Corporation came out with their Life SeriesTM Driveshafts, J & J Tool Company responded by designing a universal joint puller to service them, the J & J Universal Joint Puller 4Life
Fleets such as OVERNITE TRANSPORTATION and ROADWAY EXPRESS have been using the
J & J U-Joint Puller in all their major shops across the country. Trucking fleets, as well as numerous government and military fleets, repair shops and tow truck operators have found the J & J U-Joint Puller to be a state of the art tool that has saved countless man-hours and millions of dollars in damages to component parts. PRECISION UNIVERSAL JOINT (now FEDERAL MOGUL) and DANA CORPORATION recommend the use of the J & J U-JOINT PULLER in their heavy-duty service manuals….
